Season set for RHS grads, Aggies

Body Richmond High School graduates Keyshaun Elliott and Jack Gogue and their New Mexico State University teammates have only about two months and change before their football season begins. The Aggies, an NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision program, are slated to open Aug.

Pugh claims eighth in 100 at state

Body JEFFERSON CITY – On May 27, Richmond’s Kaylee Pugh experienced what it’s like to receive a medal at a state high school track and field meet. That morning, Pugh finished eighth in the finals of the girls 100-meter dash in Class 3 state competition at Jefferson City High School.

De Hesselle bows out in state tourney

Body Richmond must wait until 2024 for another opportunity to produce a boys state singles tennis champion. Felix De Hesselle, a German exchange student, represented the Spartans at Class 1 state singles competition, held May 19-20 at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.

Kusters keeps on runnin’

Body In May, Mason Kusters ran his last race for Orrick High School. In a few months, however, he might run his first race in college.
