MIRANDA JAMISON The aroma of simmering vegetables filled the Ray County Library as attendees gathered for a recent Community Connections program focused on cabbage, greens and creative ways to make use of seasonal produce. The event was part of the ongoing Community Connections series, an initiative led by Special Needs Services (SNS) that focuses on teaching families affordable, creative ways to use seasonal ingredients while encouraging healthy eating and community engagement.
