While growing up on a Hardin farm, it wasn’t difficult for Ray Countian Barbara (Barb) Nolker to develop grit, hard work ethic and determination. After working nearly 25 years as a customer service representative at Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance, Barb has decided it’s time to retire.

It isn’t very often that someone in Richmond reaches their 100th birthday but Wilma Carter of Richmond just celebrated 100 years of life with her friends and family this past Saturday at the Methodist Church on Main St.

Orrick High School’s Cash Honeycutt was one of 30 high school sophomores recently selected to participate in the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Missouri Agribusiness Academy (MAbA). In June, Honeycutt and other selected students will spend a week in the St. Louis area learning about many of the unique opportunities available in agriculture.
