Terry, Spartans get first dual victory

Body Brett Terry has his first dual win as Richmond’s boys tennis coach. Terry, who got his first dual win as Richmond’s girls tennis coach in September 2022 against Lexington, secured the “W” on April 13, when the Spartans thumped Cameron 8-1 at Maurice Roberts Park.

Orrick boys give coach unexpected meet title

Body Orrick varsity track and field coach Kirk Thacker got a pleasant surprise on April 14. When the Norborne Pirate Invitational ended that afternoon at Spartan Stadium in Richmond, Thacker learned his Bearcats had won the boys portion of the meet.

Gogue, Murphy part of tie for medalist spot

Donkey basketball played in RHS gym

Body Richmond High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) students recently completed their Donkey Basketball Fundraiser. FFA teacher Laura Allen said the fundraiser had students, teachers, citizens and supporters played basketball while riding donkeys.

Body Richmond had a breakthrough during Monday’s 6-4 road loss to Knob Noster in varsity baseball, according to coach Nick Persell. “We played our best offensive game of the season,” Persell stated Wednesday via email.
