RICHMOND – The Spartans have a chance to add to their collection of boys wrestling championships Saturday, when they host the Missouri River Valley Conference East Division Tournament.

HARDIN – Watching his Bulldogs get thumped 65-31 Monday by visiting Grundy County/Newtown-Harris provided Hardin-Central varsity boys basketball coach Brent Behler a clear reminder that ball security is the team’s biggest trouble spot.

ORRICK – The Bearcats won and lost by double digits Tuesday when they hosted Kansas City Lutheran in nonconference varsity basketball action. With four players reaching double figures, the varsity boys cruised to an 86-47 win.

CARROLLTON – Richmond wanted to dominate Carrollton when the teams met Dec. 22 in varsity boys basketball.

CARROLLTON – Richmond varsity girls basketball coach Chad Snyder has identified “shooting and turnovers” as two trouble spots his Spartans must address in 2021. Both were issues during Richmond’s 57-26 Dec.
