Hardin-Central trailed Grundy County/ Newtown-Harris 37-36 when Morgan Finley went to the foul line with 1 minute, 51 seconds left in overtime of Monday’s non-conference meeting. By sinking one of two free throws, Finley sparked a 7-0 comeback run that helped the Bulldogs secure a 43-41 win – their first this season and Morgan Bishop’s first win as a varsity girls basketball coach. “It’s definitely exciting, especially coming down to a last-minute, lastsecond thriller,” Bishop said. “I’m proud of the girls. … I don’t credit myself any; I credit them.
