Concerns shared with commissioners

Ray County Prosecuting Attorney Camille Johnston shared concerns with county commissioners about recent talk of selling the current prosecutor’s building and moving the staff into the courthouse. During this week’s Ray County Commissioners meeting, Johnston explained citizens had informed her of the idea, which was discussed at a prior commissioner’s meeting solemnly as ideas.

RMA helping connect churches to people

At least 22 churches have a Richmond address, according to the City of Richmond website. 1. Broaden the view to include the Hardin, Orrick, Polo, Henrietta and Lexington areas, and that number climbs. We can see how significant religion is to Ray County. But what do all these churches do? Of course, they have Sunday services and regular activities for the members of the congregation to experience, but what are the churches up to in the community outside their walls?

In the April 28 edition of Richmond News – front page article titled, “Commissioners approve new annex.” It originally said, “Chowing explained they originally wanted to move into the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) building …” The correct wording should have been “... they originally wanted the DMV to move into their new building.”.
