Auditions for “Savior of the World,” a regional musical performed during the Christmas season will be held from 5-8 p.m. Aug. 4 and 1-5 p.m. Aug. 5 at 1100 E. Grand Ave. in Cameron. All callbacks will be on the same day from 6-8 p.m. Teri and Michael Robinson will be the director and co-director of Cameron Community Players (CCP). The two bring prior theater experience to the group. Teri has worked with CCP since 2009 when she began with costuming while Michael has degrees in both directing and playwriting. “Savior of the World,” depicts events surrounding the life of Jesus Christ. The musical testifies to His divine mission as Savior and Redeemer of the world. Adults and youth ages 12 years and older, are encouraged to audition for over 100 speaking and singing roles. CCP is looking to fill roles with experienced and inexperienced participants. Once the official roles are cast, rehearsals will be in Cameron before moving rehearsals to the Farris Theater in Richmond in November. …
