The case of a Wood Heights man facing a total of 11 felony charges in three different cases has been continued, due to the need to move forward with the case, according to Ray County Judge Lori Baskins. James Wayne Woodruff Sr., 68, of Wood Heights was in court Aug. 1, requesting to be released on recognizance. The case, however, was continued until 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 22. Woodruff has been in custody at the Ray County Jail as a result of intel received by law enforcement regarding criminal activity occurring in Koala Circle area of Wood Heights last month. Following an investigation and execution of a search warrant, Ray County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) deputies arrested Woodruff in June and again in July for crimes committed while he was released on his own recognizance (ROR).
