The problem with Ray County Sheriff’s Office’s (RCSO) handling of warrant entries was first brought to light in a March Ray County Commissioner’s (RCC) meeting. Commissioners were informed of the problem by the Ray County 911 Board, who came to the group seeking solutions.

Music therapy has a special place with Special Needs Services (SNS) of Ray County and the group’s new therapist is enjoying watching the program grow. The SNS choir recently participated in the Community at Play (CAP) Community Choir event inside the Ray County Library.

Older Ray County residents are wondering if Ray County Commissioners will enact the senate bill which freezes property tax rates for residents ages 65 and older. Senate Bill 190 was signed by Missouri Governor Mike Parson earlier this month.

A new bill passed earlier this month forbids Missouri drivers of any age from holding or using any “electronic communication devices.” Called “Siddens Bening Hands Free Law” Missouri Revised Statute 304.820 described devices as anything from a phone to laptops. Drivers may not take videos or scroll while driving – this includes talking on the phone, manually texting or typing into a search engine.
