SMITHVILLE – Richmond senior Hannah Norris is done with golf. She announced her retirement Tuesday shortly finishing her round at the Class 1 girls state tournament, held on “The Posse” course at Paradise Point Golf Course at Smithville Lake.

RICHMOND – Jude Rumbaugh paced Richmond’s runners at the Missouri River Valley Conference East Division boys cross country meet Wednesday at Richmond Middle School. The senior placed fifth in the 3.1-mile race in 18 minutes, 30.9 seconds.

ORRICK – The Bearcats’ 78-22 Oct. 16 home loss to North Shelby was “one of those snowball games,” Orrick varsity 8-man football coach Eric Fairchild said.

HARDIN – An 11th-hour cancellation of an Oct. 16 road meeting with Northwest of Hughesville/Sacred Heart left Norborne Hardin-Central without a team to play.
