WARRENSBURG – Even after experiencing his share of frustrations, Richmond-based racecar driver Skyler Nolker found a few reasons to be satisfied when he pulled his Class B-modified stockcar into the pits near the end of the night July 25 at Central Missouri Speedway.
RICHMOND – COVID-19 has forced Richmond’s football program, like school sports programs at other high schools, to change the offseason training regimen. 2019’s the itinerary included 7-on-7 competitions at William Jewell College in Liberty and Chillicothe High School, along with team camp sessions and other activities.
NORBORNE – Monday was a rough day for Norborne Hardin-Central varsity coach Kirk Thacker. That evening, Thacker and his Aggies held their first team camp session for 8-man football this summer at Norborne.
RICHMOND – Sara Dalle has been promoted. In June, after having served for two years as Richmond assistant cross country coach, Dalle now leads the Spartans.
HARDIN – An athletic tradition is continuing in the Hughes clan. On July 16, Kysor Hughes ceremonially signed his letter of intent to play 11-man football at Graceland University, an NAIA program based in Lamoni, Iowa.
RICHMOND – Dylan Comstock could sum up his performance in the June 11 Kansas City Junior Tour tournament at Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond in two words.
