Bowman helps Spartans shoot 182 at home

Body RICHMOND – Aiden Bowman found a way to put a few rough holes behind him Monday during Richmond’s triangular with Knob Noster and Orrick at Shirkey Golf Course. By doing so, the Richmond junior shot his best nine-hole round of varsity boys golf this season, a 42 (+6).

Comstock and ’Cats make return visit to old home course

Body RICHMOND – Orrick senior Dylan Comstock found himself on a familiar golf course Monday, competing against a familiar opponent. Comstock, along with teammates Bishop Grimm and Wesley Creason, played in a 9-hole boys competition, hosted by Richmond at Shirkey Golf Course.

Rumbaugh leads Richmond boys to meet victory

Body HIGGINSVILLE – Richmond senior Jude Rumbaugh sensed he had the boys 1,600-meter run in the bag as the finish line neared Tuesday at the Hoefer-Husker Invitational. Joshua Townsend of Green Ridge challenged Rumbaugh for the lead during the four-lap race.

Jewell’s Vandiver works in relief

Body LIBERTY – Richmond High School graduate Abby Vandiver is getting some pitching work in her freshman softball season at William Jewell College. As of Monday, Vander had made seven relief appearances and was 1-0, William Jewell records stated.
