Study looks at poultry litter’s impact on soybean yields

A six-year study at the University of Missouri’s Graves-Chapple Extension and Education Center in northwestern Missouri looked at the impact of poultry litter on soybean crops. “Poultry litter is increasingly being applied to row crops in northwest Missouri,” said MU Extension agronomy specialist Wayne Flanary, who conducted the research.

Gary Blackwell will take the helm as the new Ray County Sheriff after garnering 2,209 (50.98%) of the 5,201 ballots cast in the August 6 election, according to unofficial election results. Reports show only 33.9% (5,201) of the 15,362 registered voters in the county voted in the race, according to Ray County Clerk Heather Maulsby.
