Two historical Ray County figures were the topics of the mid-September Ray County History Forum, which featured presentations by historians Jarodd Stansberry and Richard Gooch. Orrick Christian Church Pastor Art Endsley served as moderator.

The Lawson Community is mourning the death of a Lawson High School Student after a tragic vehicle wreck last week. Lawson Fire Department, Ray County Sheriff’s Department, Wood Heights Fire Department, Ray County Ambulance, Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) and Life-Flight responded to the area of Atkins Road and Route C on a report of a single-vehicle accident, around 8:58 p.m.

Missouri Department of Transportation workers tend to the Hwy 10 Bridge this week. The construction is on track to end in November.

finishing touches The layout for Spartan Ridge at Southview Park Disc Golf Course has been completed by Dynamic Discs and the City of Richmond. Completion of the course is planned for the end of September.
