Sunrise Elementary youth partook in “Water Day” last week. Students were able to bring their bathing suits and energy to the north side of the building where there were games, slip-and-slide, mini pools and more water-filled fun..

An Excelsior Springs resident entered a plea of not guilty to multiple charges, including armed criminal action, during a criminal setting hearing earlier this week. Wyatt Dean Lumsden, 19, of Excelsior Springs, previously posted 10% of a $25,000 bond, on two felony charges including: unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

With the goal of putting music back into the community, Special Needs Services (SNS) of Ray County participated in the Community at Play (CAP) Community Choir event inside the Ray County Library. Along with a new program, SNS board members hired Sydney Winders, 25, as their new board-certified music therapist.
