Law restricts drivers from phone use

A new bill passed earlier this month forbids Missouri drivers of any age from holding or using any “electronic communication devices.” Called “Siddens Bening Hands Free Law” Missouri Revised Statute 304.820 described devices as anything from a phone to laptops. Drivers may not take videos or scroll while driving – this includes talking on the phone, manually texting or typing into a search engine.

Chamber luncheon deemed success

The Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a luncheon each summer, along with a special presentation in hopes of spreading knowledge about a variety of topics. At the most recent luncheon, Digital Media Specialist Courtney Cole of Excelsior Springs spoke to local business owners about using social media.
