TACO JALISCO OPENS

A SECOND restaurant featuring Mexican cuisine, Taco Jalisco, has opened with food and liquor at 1006 E. Main St. in the former Oink and Moo building across from the Richmond School District’s offices. At front, Jesus Diaz is among the waiters who serve at the counter. The original Taqulia Jalisco restaurant, which has a more comprehensive menu, closed because of a fire and has remained closed longer than expected for repairs, but it is expected to reopen by the end of June. Richmond remembers friends, family members on Memorial Day

RICHMOND – Tradition, honor, memories, family, friends… Walt Smith, Lexington, bends and lays red and pink chrysanthemums at a grave to remember a man – a former patient, a friend, a veteran – on Memorial Day at Woodland Cemetery. Before retiring after more than 30 years, Smith worked as a physical therapist and in that role met and assisted Fred Newman.
