Body RICHMOND – The Knob Noster Panthers played like they expected to win when they took the opening kickoff and contested the game throughout the first half before Richmond adjusted and rolled to a 69-24 Oct. 15 homefield win.

Body BOLIVAR – For the second straight season, Richmond’s Kennedy Wrisinger was among the state’s top 50 girls golfers in Class 1. Wrisinger, a junior, placed 46th among 82 golfers at the Class 1 state tournament, held Monday and Tuesday at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club.

Body BRUNSWICK – Hardin-Central had to do some relocating to play what proved to be its last varsity softball game this season, a 12-2 Class 1 District 12 Tournament semifinal loss to Braymer/Breckenridge.

Body SHELBYVILLE – The Bearcats might have broadened their attack, based on their performance during their 52-12 Oct. 15 road loss to North Shelby.

Body HARDIN – Norborne Hardin-Central coach Andrew Watson and his Aggies found bright spots in their 64-30 loss Oct. 15 to Northwest of Hughesville/Sacred Heart of Sedalia at Hardin-Central.

Body HOLDEN – Holden’s defense detained but did not stop Richmond’s high-powered offense through much of the first half in a game that ended as a 38-2 Oct. 8 road win for the Spartans.

Body RAY COUNTY – One area varsity softball team survived the first round of districts. One did not.
