Body At last, Richmond varsity baseball coach Zach McGill and his Spartans are on their home field. The Spartans opened the season with six straight road games, going 2-4.

Body Aaron Rodenberg’s efforts to build Orrick’s varsity softball program continue. Rodenberg is in his second season as skipper of the Bearcats, who dropped their first two games of 2026.

Body Earlier this year, Tommy Burton experienced the thrill of coaching his first 1,000-point scorer as the head of Hardin-Central’s varsity girls basketball program.

Body Richmond graduate Sydney Appleberry found ways to get hits and score runs over the weekend. Appleberry went 4-for-12 (.333) with six RBIs over two doubleheaders for Moberly Area Community College (MACC), where she’s a sophomore.

Body State-qualifying wrestler Ryan Sharp is already thinking about next season. As the Richmond News recently reported, Sharp placed fourth in the 144-pound division at this year’s Class 2 state boys high school tournament.
