MoDOT outlines improvement program

Body Two major Ray County bridge projects originally slated for 2027 have been accelerated for 2026. The pavement of MO 10 E bridge will be resurfaced and the guardrail will be replaced from Rte.

Speed radar purchase approved by council

Body Richmond Police Chief Scott Bagley proposed the city purchase the Black Cat II Plus Radar Recorder with Jamar Technologies to collect data for speeding at the latest city council meeting. The council members unanimously agreed to make the $5,369 purchase of the radar.

Chief receives approval for LPR cameras

Body Richmond City Council approved a request from Police Chief Scott Bagley for the purchase of license plate recognition (LPRs) cameras. The chief explained he applied for grant monies to fund the cameras, which would be placed on streetlights in the town.

Hospital hosts broadband ribbon cutting

Body Ray County Hospital and Healthcare (RCHH) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate access to broadband internet, along with special guest Missouri’s 6th Congressional District Representative Sam Graves.

Board updates taxpayers on building status

Body As many residents know, Ray County 911 has been working to replace the current 911 dispatch facility. Many questions and concerns have been circulating that the board would like to address.
