Museum, Richmond News after hours deemed success

The Ray County Museum was busy with Richmond residents and music last week during the Ray County Museum and Richmond News’ After-Hours event. The 1920s themed, comeand- go event was deemed a success, according to Richmond News General Manager Sharon Donat and Museum Director Cathy Gottsch. “We enjoyed the 1920s event and not even the air conditioning problems could keep us from having a great time,” said Donat. “When businesses work together it makes for a stronger community.” Among the Richmond residents, there were some from the neighboring town of Lexington. Carolyn “Day” Sutton said she had a great time. “I had so much fun watching the live music and meeting everyone. The staff there have a lot of love for each other. The museum had some very interesting rooms, and my favorite was the genealogy room or ‘Grandma’s Kitchen,’” Sutton said. “I would recommend people go visit the museum.” Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce Activities Director Jayne Taylor said she loved seeing the…
