King surprises herself at districts

Body CHILLICOTHE – Kaylee King probably wasn’t surprised at qualifying for sectionals in girls track and field in three events. She was surprised, however, at qualifying in a fourth event.

Pierson signs with North Central Missouri College

Body Richmond graduate Katie Pierson is adding to her family’s athletic pedigree. As the Richmond News recently reported, Pierson has signed her letter of intent to attend and play softball for North Central Missouri College, a Trenton-based community college.

Body TOP ’DOG Hardin-Central’s Kalel Bowman was the top dog this weekend – more than once. On May 10, Bowman won the boys 100-meter dash and ran on the Bulldogs’ champion boys 400 and 800 relay teams at Class 1 District 7 competition at Lafayette County of Higginsville.

Kaylor punches ticket for state

Body Isaac Kaylor is taking a road trip as he wraps his sophomore year at Richmond High School. Kaylor is set to compete in the Class 3 state boys golf tournament, slated for May 19-20 at Twin Hill Golf Course in Joplin.
