Six from Hardin-Central qualify for sectionals

Body CLEVELAND – The Bulldogs have found “a shiny diamond” in junior sprinter Korbin Pugh, Hardin-Central varsity track coach Kirk Thacker said. Pugh’s late-season performances in the boys 100-meter dash prompted Thacker to give him that designation.

Richmond relay team nears school record at invitational

Spartans reach top five at Richmond Boys Invitational

Body RICHMOND – Timmy Hamilton’s golf game clicked the last three holes of his round at the Richmond Boys Invitational. “I’d played bad enough up until that point that I was just like, ‘OK, I’m just going to kind of finish it out,’” Hamilton, a Richmond senior, said.

‘Solid’ Buchanan wins javelin at Lexington

Body LEXINGTON – Blake Buchanan’s best boys javelin throw April 29 at the Bill Hamann Invitational at Lexington High School was a “solid throw,” Orrick varsity coach Paul Giffin said. “Not a pr (personal record),” Giffin said.

Stingy Spartans sweep homestand
