COLUMBIA – Cash Honeycutt, Richmond, placed second for his Hampshire gilt and third for his Poland China gilt in the Missouri Pork Association’s Youth Show Pig Circuit competition. Points for the circuit could be earned from six of eight shows held across Missouri between June and July.

RICHMOND – The Missouri Highway Patrol completed annual school bus inspections in Ray and Clay counties, requiring repairs before buses are driven. The state requires bus repairs within 10 days of the inspection.

HARDIN – Bridge work on Route J over Crooked River is underway, forcing the road to close for the next three months. The plan is to replace the bridge deck and improve the approaches, Missouri Department of Transportation spokesman Markl T.

LIBERTY – COVID-19 cases in Clay and Ray counties, and across the state and nation, continue to rise, though there are moderation signs nationally and in the Northland.
