JEFFERSON CITY – Medicaid expansion advocates celebrated victory in August after more than 53% of voters said the program should add more than 200,000 Missourians. But last week, Republican House Budget Committee members voted down House Bill 20, which would have provided almost $1.9 billion in funding for the voter-approved expansion.

WOOD HEIGHTS – Whether Wood Heights Fire Department will have equipment that continues to work when needed is up to voters Tuesday. They will vote Proposition A up or down.

RICHMOND – Hardin Assistant Fire Chief Ryan Dickey told the Ray County Commission he has a lot to do in his role as the county’s new Emergency Management Agency coordinator. The work includes making sure the county is prepared to address floods, pandemics, tornadoes and other emergencies.

LEXINGTON – Richard Anthony Arrington’s case remains in limbo after appearing in court March 10 in Lafayette County. On the same day, court records show Arrington’s decision to waive extradition, possibly to Arizona, went by mail to Gov.

RICHMOND – Community Bank of Missouri announced Stephanie Landwehr has been named the bank’s president and chief operating officer. Landwehr began her banking career in Richmond in 1978 after graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in accounting.
