HENRIETTA – The Ray County Sheriff’s Office supports a new Narcotics Anonymous group. Sheriff Scott Childers said the group is like Alcoholics Anonymous.
RICHMOND – A planned discussion about an appointee to the Law Enforcement Restitution Committee, Rachelle Berry, drew several attendees to the Feb. 22 Ray County Commission meeting.

HENRIETTA – The Ray County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Tri-County Mental Health to reduce mental health threats that could lead to criminal activities and personal anguish. Since November, two inmates have committed suicide in the jail, the latest occurring Feb.
HARDIN – The Hardin-Central Board of Education has agreed to sell $1,570,000 in lease refunding and improvement certificates of participation to the district’s municipal bond underwriter, L.J. Hart & Co., St. Louis.
RICHMOND – Dear Elementary School firstgrade classes, including Haley Shelton’s class, received a visit from the University of Missouri Extension’s Chandra Carey. The extension assigns educators to schools across Missouri to teach various topics, with Carey giving nutrition information.
RICHMOND – The new Branded Steakhouse, Oink & Moo BBQ & Taproom can hold scores of people, but there will be room for more. The adjacent banquet hall, under construction, will seat about 300 people and could open around April 1.
RICHMOND – Like biting into a thick steak, the name – Branded Steakhouse, Oink & Moo BBQ & Taproom – is a mouthful. A new city landmark, the restaurant stands at 708 Wollard Blvd.
