5,100 Bibles make their way to the Philippines

Humane society adds outdoor play yard for animals

Body What better way to give a dog freedom than room to play outdoors? All animals, in and out of shelter care, deserve space to roam and play. The Humane Society of Ray County (HSRC) board of directors had a vision that was barking to be heard — a play yard.

Spring play deemed success

Body Farris Theater’s annual spring play, “First Baptist of Ivy Gap,” was presented recently with cast and crew receiving kudos from their producer. Play producer Opal Richardson discussed the result of the presentation, saying, “The ladies did a good job.

Lumsden enters not guilty plea
