5,100 Bibles make their way to the Philippines
In early June, volunteers from local churches and youth groups, along with Kansas City area engineers and printing experts, assembled and packed 5,100 Bibles. A missionary awaits the arrival of the package in the Philippines, concluding the 2023 Bible Conference.
This simple-sounding task is a process that requires the coordinated efforts of more than 100 volunteers over three days of manual and machine labor. Send the Light Bible Team Leader Terry Ogle led those who came to Richmond, including church member volunteers from Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs and Harrisonville. Ogle described the process (he calls it a “tour”) for anyone coming in to work at the Bible Conference for the first time.
The Bible Team and volunteers loaded the binding and cutting machines off trucks into the Richmond City Hall gym, along with pallets carrying thousands of Bible signatures (sections) from a ministry in Milford, Ohio, called “Bearing Precious Seed.”
