KNOB NOSTER – Richmond varsity girls basketball coach Kaylee Vantrump went on what she called “an emotional roller coaster” when her Spartans faced Excelsior Springs Monday night in the Class 4 District 14 Tournament at Knob Noster High School.
Brady Hyder was expecting to be emotionally conflicted this week. Hyder was slated to help represent Richmond at the Class 2 state boys wrestling tournament.
Hardin-Central and Orrick each got through the first round of districts in both varsity girls and boys basketball. Orrick opened the girls portion of the Class 1 District 13 Tournament by edging Winston 3128 Monday at Norborne, the host for both the girls and boys brackets.
