Due to the increase in food pantry usage while available resources are shrinking, Special Needs Services (SNS) of Ray County Executive Director Suzan Breen is taking initiative aimed at education, awareness and longterm solutions.

During a recent Ray County Commission meeting, Sheriff Gary Blackwell provided updates on the facility’s progress, noting construction is moving forward despite a major oversight which required a contractor to rework a portion of the bid.
