The Ray County Museum partnered with Apex Paranormal (AP) of Kansas City and hosted a museum tour and ghost hunting. AP Founder Elijah Buchholz, AP Research Specialist Shannon Johnson, Lillian Buchholz – Elijah’s daughter, and AP Research Specialist Jenni Panethiere led the ghost hunters.

City council accepts lowest bid for water system improvements

Richmond City Council received an update about water system improvements from Olsson Project Manager Brooke Hudlemeyer. Hudlemeyer presented bids from early October, recommending that a Notice of Award be given to the apparent low bidder, David E. Ross Construction, for the Water Treatment Plant Improvements in the contract amount of $1,255,800.

Chamber dinner celebrates businesses

Tri-County Mental Health rebranded its name to Beacon Mental Health, announced Prevention Specialist for the Ray County Coalition (RCC) Deborah Neel at the latest RCC meeting. Beacon Mental Health service mental health, substance use treatment, prevention and wellness activities for Clay, Platte and Ray counties in metropolitan Kansas City.

The 2023 Annual Ray County 4-H Recognition Event took over the Eagleton Civic Center last week. The annual event was sponsored by Richmond Farm Bureau, Richmond Rotary Club, FCS Financial, and Ray County 4-H Council.
