MATWARMING AND COURTWARMING Friday is matwarming/courtwarming night for Richmond. The Spartans are slated to host Missouri River Valley Conference-East Division foe Lexington in basketball as they crown their royalty for the winter sports season.

A technician whose work kept local farms running has been selected for a national John Deere award honoring outstanding service and technical expertise. The honor was awarded to Steve Hamm, a longtime agricultural technician in the Richmond area who was selected as one of 13 technicians across the United States and Canada to receive the Honorary Technician of the Year recognition.

For almost 30 years, the case of a 14-year-old Richmond girl who went missing has remained unsolved. This week, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) came to the community to revisit the case.
