A Richmond man who faces two felonies appeared in court Tuesday before Ray County Judge Lori Baskins this week. Following his escape from the Ray County Jail in March, Justin Robinson, 39, continues to be held in Caldwell County.
Spartan pride spread as the R-XVI District School Board (RSB) finalized and granted permission for the official Richmond disc golf course – “Spartan Ridge at Southview Park.” After months of meetings, collaboration and planning – Richmond City Economic Development Director James Gorham said he is excited for the next steps of the course. The final layout of the 18-hole course was finalized in early June by Gorham, local resident Dr.
The problem with Ray County Sheriff’s Office’s (RCSO) handling of warrant entries was first brought to light in a March Ray County Commissioner’s (RCC) meeting. Commissioners were informed of the problem by the Ray County 911 Board, who came to them seeking solutions.
The Ray County 911 Board received an update on communications from the Ray County Sheriff’s Department regarding the ongoing problem with warrant entries. Although progress is slowly being made, the sheriff’s department is still sifting through the “mess” left behind by a former jail administrator.

The Exemplar Degree, the third degree of Beta Sigma Phi, may be conferred when a member has completed four years at the “Ritual of Jewels” level. Members who qualify for this degree and other upper degrees may receive the degree in their current chapter or may progress to an upper degree chapter.
