Richmond High School FFA members enrolled in agriculture education courses which offer a unique opportunity to go beyond the classroom and learn real-world applications in several disciplines. Courses included agricultural mechanics, livestock evaluation and a dozen other areas of learning. Missouri Agricultural Skills and Knowledge Assessment Industry Recognized Credentials (MOASK IRC) program recognizes the following students for performing at a professional level: Thomas Carroll in Agricultural Mechanics, Allison Coats in Forestry, Jake Cringan in Agricultural Mechanics, Benjamin Curtis in Poultry, Steven Farris in Agricultural Mechanics, Gavin Hook in Poultry, Adalyn Hays in Horse Evaluation, Will Robinson in Forestry and Issabella Smith in Horse Evaluation. The technical skills assessments are done similar to the FFA judging contest, but the results are used to determine a student’s proficiency rather than for competitive award purposes.
