Pugh runs with tailwind to victory at Lexington

Body LEXINGTON – Richmond’s Kaylee Pugh shared the credit for her victory in the girls 100-meter dash at the Bill Hamann Invitational. “The wind definitely helped, being behind my back,” Pugh said a few minutes after winning the race April 11 at Lexington High School.

Netters honor Owens, Baker on Senior Night

Body Richmond held its Senior Night for varsity boys tennis eight days earlier than one might’ve expected. Generally, Senior Night or Senior Day is scheduled for a team’s final home game or match.

RHS netters rise to Terry’s challenge

’Cats get big swing from Hicks in home loss

Body Orrick softball coach Chase Sims saw perhaps the best hit from the Bearcats this varsity season during their 20-0 loss in three innings April 5 to visiting Sweet Springs. Leadoff batter Natasha Hicks provided the hit.

Body Richmond has returned to competition mode in high school track. After having no meets scheduled last week, the Spartans ran, jumped, vaulted and threw against other schools Wednesday at the Rob Hoefer Husker Invitational, staged by Lafayette County of Higginsville at Higginsville.
