Body Reverend John Benjamin Selleck, 80, of Braymer, died Friday, January 7, 2022, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.  John was born on May 5, 1941, in Sayer, PA, the son of Jesse and Gertrude (Bierfreund) Selleck.

Body Dorothy Marie Essig, 83, of Excelsior Springs, died Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Liberty Hospital.  Dorothy was born on November 16, 1938, in Liberty, the daughter of Tyrus “Ty” and Hortence (Woods) Coats.

Body Eugenia Kay (Swafford) Scherlinger, 86, of Henrietta, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at River Bend Heights Rehabilitation Center in Lexington.  Eugenia was born on June 11, 1935, in Ray County, the daughter of Fletcher Martin and Geneva Ella (Jones) Coffman.

Body Kyla Jean Pugh, 44, of Higginsville, formerly of Hardin, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Mosaic Medical Center in St. Joseph.  Kyla was born on October 11, 1977, in Richmond, the daughter of Kenneth “Wayne” and Carolyn Rose (Oyler) Pugh. 

Body Catherine Marie (Martinez) Lewis, 49, of Norborne, passed away peacefully at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Thursday December 30th, 2021, surrounded by loving family.   

Body Thomas Louis Sportsman, 78, of Rayville, was called home, Sunday, January 2, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital.  Thomas was born on August 16, 1943, in Chariton County, the son of Louis and Juanita (Wilkins) Sportsman.

Body Michael Winston “Mike” Bliss, of Richmond, MO, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021, from complications due to COVID-19, at the age of 75.

Body Cindy Cazzell, 74 of Orrick, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Liberty Hospital. Cindy was born on October 20, 1947 in the Ray County area to Jim and Virginia Belt. Cindy was a lifetime Orrick resident.

Body Loretta D. Foreman, 71, of Lee’s Summit, formerly of Ray County, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.  Loretta was born on January 3, 1950, in Lexington, the daughter of Decatur and Elizabeth Jane (Appleby) Clark, Jr.

Body Richard Orial Dunwoodie, 85, of Camden, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital.  Richard was born on March 10, 1936, in Camden, the son of Glenn William and Mazzie Temple (Plummer) Dunwoodie.
