The Ray County Sheriff’s Office has a new member on its team – Jinx, a 6-year-old pit bull. The dog is part of the Ray County Sheriff’s Office’s K9 Unit.

On Aug. 18, members of Richmond’s business community relaxed and took in some Ray County history.

Bryan Copple has some goals he wants to achieve this school year as Richmond’s new superintendent. He has achieved one of them – or at least part of it.

Ashley Stewart of Clever Clovers 4-H Club and Alexis Reeves of Guys and Gals 4-H Club were recently chosen to receive the 2022 Harold Strobel Citizen of Service Award. Melissa Lehman, Clever Clovers co-club leader, said Stuart deserved the award because “Ashley embraces the foundations of 4-H.” “She gives her hands and heart to the club and community,” said Lehman.
