A piece of art during its time finds itself inside the Ray County Museum. An 1870s Knabe Square Grand piano was donated to the museum this past month from Tim and Maria Twyman of Odessa, according to Ray County Museum Director Cathy Gottsch.
Residents commuting to and from Excelsior Springs have noticed the detour as the Missouri Hwy 10 Bridge is being worked on. Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Kansas City District Area Engineer Benjamin Mc-Cabe confirmed that the bridge work is “on schedule” and the anticipated contract completion is the end of November.

Henrietta has been awarded nearly $120,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) money, which the mayor says will be put to good use “one day at a time.” The Department of Economic Development awarded nearly $11 million to 22 Missouri communities to pay for a variety of improvement projects. Henrietta City Mayor David Mc-Graw was excited to receive the grants, which will be used to demolish dilapidated buildings in residential areas.
