Looking forward to being involved in the Ray County Community, John W. Carter Lodge 180 of Prince Hall Freemasonry on Main Street in Richmond. The current members wanted to update the citizens of Ray County of their membership and their hopes for the future.
Ray County Board of Commissioners has yet to receive word from their attorney regarding what they are able to do in regards to a recent request to prohibit cannabis micro- businesses from locating in Ray County. In the December commissioners meeting, First Baptist Church Richmond Pastor Willie Isaacson voiced many concerns and made several requests regarding Amendment 3 and how it will affect the community.
HOOPS PERHAPS? Richmond might get to play Kansas City Central this season in basketball after all. Both Richmond varsity teams were slated to play Central in the Twelve Courts of Christmas, a holiday shootout featuring teams from multiple states.
I have a soft spot in my heart for Kansas State University. That’s why I’ll be pulling for Kansas State when its football team plays the University of Alabama Saturday in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
