Richmond’s local Missouri farmer leader Ronnie Russell was selected to serve on the executive committee of the American Soybean Association (ASA). The association chose leaders this December to guide the organization to focus its efforts on top priorities, including the 2023 Farm Bill. Russell grows soybeans among other crops, and operates a retail commercial fertilizer business. He also has a cow-calf operation and runs Russell Sunflower Patch, an agricultural-tourist destination in Richmond. “It’s an honor to be elected to the executive committee and serve the soybean producers of the 30 states of the American Soybean Association represents,” said Russell. “I look forward to advocating in their best interests, especially in the development of the upcoming 2023 Farm Bill.”
