Local beekeeper speaks to Beta Tau

During the recent meeting of the Beta Tau society, a local beekeeper who owns an apiary near Lathrop shared insightful information about the art and science of honey collection. Miranda Taylor of Windy Ridge Apiary explained how she and her family tend bees and gather honey while she displayed some tools of her trade at the society’s meeting in Richmond.

4-H member My name is Brycen Ward. I am 13 years old and the oldest of 4 kids. I have 2 sisters and a brother. We live in Lawson on 36 acres. We currently have 200 chickens, 20 ducks, 4 rabbits, 7 dogs, two jersey cows, and sheep. My mom and step dad are my biggest supporters for 4-H and help me with my projects. My step dad is why I joined 4-H. He was in 4-H as a kid and his experience helped pique my interest in 4-H.
