Richmond has two chances to get a win in April in varsity baseball – if the weather cooperates.

The Spartans are scheduled to play Lathrop at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Southview Park in Richmond and Mid-Buchanan at 4:30 p.m. April 30, also at Southview. Thursday’s Missouri River Valley Conference (MRVC)-East Division road meeting with Carrollton got rained out, as did Richmond’s varsity boys tennis dual  at Carrollton.

In pictures: Into the sunset

Body

Murray Dennis is in the sunset of his career as Richmond's golf coach. And four of his Spartans are in the sunset of their high school golf careers.

To symbolize his departure with his upcoming retirement and the departure of four seniors with graduation in May, Dennis and those seniors hit tee shots into the sunset from the 10th fairway following Richmond's boys golf triangular Monday with Knob Noster and Orrick at Shirkey Golf Course. Knob Noster won the competition by shooting a 194, followed by Richmond with a 202 and Orrick with a 250.
