Two felony cases stemming from the 2024 theft of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) from Richmond Community Bank of Missouri have been dismissed. Montez Sherman of Independence and Terrance D.

The Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers Scholarship Committee awarded 20 scholarships totaling $20,000 to graduating seniors for the 2025-26 school year. The scholarship fund was established in 1981 and awards are presented each spring to outstanding seniors who are children of cooperative members or are members themselves.

The ceremony, held on Mother’s Day for Hardin-Central’s 17 graduating seniors, combined humor, nostalgia and encouragement as speakers reflected on the class’s growth from elementary school through high school.
