A case that once drew headlines for a violent jail escape attempt has now ended with a prison sentence in Ray County. Justin Jerome Robinson of Richmond pleaded guilty earlier this week to felony escape or attempted escape from confinement by striking a person and was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, according to court records.

Ray County first responders played a visible role at this year’s Missouri State Fair Fire Department, joining a record-setting operation and bringing home recognition for their work. The Missouri State Fair Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical responses during the fair.

Field to Fork is a new weekly recipe series from Project Guardian, featuring simple, healthy meals using fresh produce from farmer’s markets or Harvesters boxes.
