RMS boys A team takes end-of-season tournament

Richmond’s middle school boys basketball A team found what coach called “a great way to finish off the season.” The way the young Spartans found to end their 2023-24 campaign was to pull out a 42-39 victory over Knob Noster Jan. 25 to cap an end-of-season tournament at Knob Noster.

RHS girls see defense as positive in RWC defeat

Richmond’s opponents in varsity girls basketball will probably see more man-toman defense from the Spartans the rest of this season, based on the way they utilized it during their 43-34 loss to Braymer in the fifth-place game of the Richmond Winter Classic.

TURNING IT UP A NOTCH

RHS girls fall in Winter Classic opener

Winter weather wipes out week

Area high school sports teams got an unexpected week off from competition last week. And for some area coaches, it was an unwanted week off from competition.
