Richmond graduate Keyshaun Elliott will have the chance to make his pro football debut this season.
Elliott, a fifth-round pick in this year’s NFL draft, has made Chicago’s 53-man roster, released this week. The Bears reportedly activated him in late August after several weeks on their physically unable to perform list.
Elliott and his Chicago teammates are scheduled to open the regular season Sept. 13 against Carolina at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. His first opportunity to play in front of a home crowd is Sept. 20, when the Bears are set to face Minnesota in NFC North action at Soldier Field.
’HOUNDS HUSHED Quarterback Brody Fifer picked apart the Sweet Springs defense during Norborne Hardin-Central’s (NHC’s) season opener in varsity 8-man football.
