Dorothy F. Bayazeed

Dorothy (Dottie) F. Bayazeed, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020. Dottie was born to Amos and Oma Gant on Feb. 13, 1930, in Richmond, Missouri. She attended Richmond schools through high school and also took junior college classes.

E.J. “Jani” Reeder

E.J. “Jani” Reeder, 78, of Henrietta, passed away at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Missouri Monday, Jan. 20, of complications from cancer. 

Reeder was born in Omaha, Nebraska, Dec. 1, 1941; graduated High School in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, in 1960 and lived most of her adult life in Alaska, where she graduated from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks and then lived in Anchorage, Juneau, Sitka, and Nome before returning to live in Missouri several years ago.  A fitting epitaph for her: “She was a friend to many and a lover of books.” 

Norman L. Wirsig

Body

Norman L. Wirsig, 76, of Richmond, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at North Kansas City Hos-pital.

Norman was born on Jan. 3, 1944, in Deep Water, the son of Clyde W. and Mildred L. (Ballew) Wirsig.  He was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Porter of Richmond on Oct. 25, 1969; she preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 2018.

Garry Ronald Westher

Garry Ronald Westher, 86, of Richmond, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at his home.

Garry was born on Oct. 26, 1933, in Rochester, New York, the son of Russell E. and Jenny (Groenendale) Westher. Garry was united in marriage to Albert “Randy” Peckham of Richmond on July 15, 2013; he survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Harold Henry “Hank” Burnine

Body

Harold Henry “Hank” Burnine, 87, of Higginsville, died Tuesday, Jan, 21, 2020, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville.

Hank was born on Nov. 9, 1932, in Henrietta, the son of Cleatus Van and Elsie Lee (Swafford) Burnine. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Sullivan of Lexington on March 12, 1979; she preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 2009.

Survivors include: his siblings: Terrie (Burnine) Mais, Bonnie (Burnine) Leach, and Cleatus Burnine; his children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
