The Richmond Police Department (RPD) is excited to announce the addition of Officer Matthew Evans to its team. “Please join us in welcoming Officer Matthew Evans to the Richmond Police Department,” said RPD Chief Scott Bagley.

The Missouri Ethics Commission has fined Ray County Western Commissioner Bobby Don Davis $2,000 after determining he violated state campaign finance laws. The commission found probable cause that Davis and his campaign committee, the Committee to Elect Bobby Don Davis Ray County Western Commissioner, failed to file the required paperwork on time, according to the documents.

MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION March 1 marks the annual opening of catch-andkeep trout fishing at Missouri’s four trout parks: Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon, Montauk State Park near Licking, Roaring River State Park near Cassville and Maramec Spring Park near St. James.

Despite this winter’s bitter cold, the number of house fires in Richmond has remained consistent with previous years, according to Richmond Fire Chief Mark Sowder. “During the winter, we see an increase in fires caused by heating equipment,” said Sowder.
