Growing up in Ray County has instilled a deep sense of pride in me, making it incredibly humbling to be able to contribute to my hometown paper. My name is Joshua Brungardt, and I have lived in Ray County my whole life. After graduating from Richmond High School in 2021, I embarked on the next chapter of my academic journey at Truman State University, where I am currently studying communication. My ultimate goal is to carve out a career in sports broadcasting, leveraging my passion for sports and communication into a fulfilling profession.

A failure to abide warrant was issued and served for a man facing two felony charges after a mistake was made regarding his bond. Former Richmond resident Juan-David Gutierrez, 31, is charged with first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy and second- degree sodomy.

Summer Bash is big smash

A robust crowd showed up in support of Summer Bash, hosted by Friends of Richmond Future Farmers of America (FORFFA). The bash was held recently in the Richmond High School parking lot, where over 30 vendors, four food trucks and children’s play area, offering plenty for area residents to enjoy.
